NEWBODY
Newbody is a Los Angeles-based dance music duo with a forthcoming release on Body High Records. From the birthplace of techno, Detroit, singer/songwriter Roberto Ramone cites Gospel, Soul, Pop and R&B as his strongest influences growing up. And while he was at church honing his vocal chops, Los Angeles producer Jonathan Roshad was at the raves. Hearing DJs like Mark Farina, DJ Heather and Gene Farris spin was a pivotal point of his entry into the world of dance music. It was through the advent of MySpace that the duo found each other, discovering a mutual love of Prince. Citing influences from the likes of Deee-lite, Todd Edwards and Kerri Chandler, their sound takes its underground inspiration from Detroit, New York, and the U.K.
